PBK model definitions as data

PBK models can either be uploaded as data (in the SBML format) or can be selected from the collection of embedded models

Physiologically based kinetic (PBK) models are mathematical representations of the animal or human body aimed at describing and predicting the time course distribution of chemicals in tissues and organs. Those internal dose metrics can usefully replace external exposure dose in the derivation of the quantitative dose-response relationships and following risk assessments. PBK models can simulate both internal doses from exposure scenarios (forward dosimetry) and external dose from biomonitoring data (reverse dosimetry).

This module provides two ways for including PBK models: 1) use uploaded PBK models implemented in SBML as data, or 2) use one of the available PBK models embedded in MCRA.
